Alanna Ubach is a California native, with a prolific career spanning more than three decades. Alanna has amassed an impressive resume with over 150 theatre, film and TV projects, bringing dynamic performances and working with a number of the industry’s most revered directors.

Alanna’s early career featured roles in such films as Airborne, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, Renaissance Man, and The Brady Bunch Movie. Around the same time she landed the regular role of Josie the assistant/co-host in the series Beakman’s World, for which she was nominated for a Young Artist Award in 1992. A number of indie films followed, including the title role in Denise Calls Up, David Arquette’s girlfriend Nikki in Johns, and gang girl Mesquita in Freeway opposite Reese Witherspoon and Kiefer Sutherland, while she also appeared in more mainstream films such as Virtuosity and Clockwatchers, before starring as Reese Witherspoon’s best friend, Serena McGuire, in the blockbuster hits Legally Blonde and Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde.

From the success of Legally Blonde, Alanna starred in Waiting…, alongside Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris, and Meet The Fockers, with Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro, and dived into voice acting with Teamo Supremo, Ozzy & Drix and Brandy & Mr. Whiskers. Continuing in voice acting, Alanna starred in many more animated shows and films, with roles such as Liz Allan in The Spectacular Spider-Man, the titular Manny Rivera in El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, Strudel in Pound Puppies, Ansi Molina in Welcome to the Wayne, multiple roles in Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters and four different characters in the Oscar-winning film Rango. In the world of video games, Alanna reprised the role of Manny Rivera in the game adaptation of El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, played Lady Deadpool in Marvel Heroes and Captain DuBois in Madagascar 3: The Video Game, and lent her talent to Grand Theft Auto V.

Alanna continued her live action work in shows such as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Hung, Men of a Certain Age, Californication, See Dad Run and Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce. In film, she was nominated for a SAG Award for her performance as Jeanine Pirro in Bombshell, alongside Margot Robbie, Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron. She also starred as Tessa Flores on Guilty Party, and Carol Atkinson on The Flight Attendant.

Disney fans may recognise Alanna’s voice as Mama Imelda, the family’s matriarch in the Oscar®-winning Coco, and Cutter in Monsters at Work, based on Pixar’s Academy Award®-winning Monsters, Inc. Other recent roles include Queen Tulip in Crossing Swords, Osysa in The Legend of Vox Machina and Hanrahan in The Last of Us.

With other roles too numerous to mention, Alanna can recently and notably be seen as Susan Bennett in Seth MacFarlane’s Ted, the television prequel of the hit film, alongside fellow Metro Comic Con guest Scott Grimes, who she also joined in American Dad!, and Suze, the single alcoholic mother of Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Lexi (Maude Apatow), in the critically acclaimed Euphoria.
