About

Benny Eggmolesse

Benny’s mother’s people are the Maiawali and Karuwali people of the Diamantina River, South East Queensland, and his father’s people are the Mbarbarum people of the Atherton Tablelands, North Queensland.

Benny is a co-founder of the Indigiverse, an Aboriginal superhero universe that protects, preserves, shares and celebrates First Nations culture.

He is also a Nationally recognised Indigenous Stand-Up comedian and has represented NSW and the ACT at the Melbourne International Comedy Festivals–National Deadly Funny’s finals.

Benny has over 15 years of experience leading Indigenous Workforce Development strategies, Reconciliation Actions Plans, and delivering Cultural Safety Masterclasses for organisations at a State and National level Throughout his career, he has assisted multiple Government and Non-Government bodies achieve their Closing the Gap targets, execute workforce development goals, and led the way in bringing sustainable change to the workforce to improve race relations.

 

THE INDIGIVERSE: THE OLDEST LIVING CULTURES INSPIRING THE NEWEST LIVING SUPERHEROES

The INDIGIVERSE is Gooniyandi-Miriuwung Gajerrong man Scott Wilson’s vision for an Aboriginal superhero comics universe, inspired by First Nations culture and stories.

The flagship title, DARK HEART, and future INDIGIVERSE comics are aimed at helping to protect, preserve, share and celebrate the rich nature of First Nations culture in Australia, and to share it with the world.

 

The INDIGIVERSE founders Scott Wilson, Benny Eggmolesse and Wolfgang Bylsma will all be at Metro Comic-Con, with DARK HEART artist Katie Houghton-Ward also in attendance!
