Down Under Drink & Draw

For the serious comic fans among us, the Down Under Drink & Draw ’24 is coming to Metro Comic Con on Saturday 13th July! This is a specialty event for collectors of awesome art.

If you’d like to spend some quality time with a few of your favourite comic artists, this is the place for you! Chat with the artists while they draw some amazing art; enjoy drinks and nibbles; and have a chance to bid on and win the finished sketches!

Down Under Drink & Draw Tickets are $125 per person (including fees). Tickets are extremely limited.

Date: Saturday 13th July 2023

Time: 7.30pm to 10pm

Location: TBA – Central Melbourne.

The Down Under Drink & Draw will feature the following artists:

  • Anthony Marques
  • Marco Rudy
  • Nicola Scott
  • Daniel Picciotto
  • Jon Sommariva
  • Mike Krome
  • Lily McDonnell
  • Chewie Chan

Tickets include 3 drinks (beer, wine or soft drink) and finger food. Attendees will have the chance to speak with guests and observe their process as they sketch and each produce two pieces during the event.

All attendees will have a chance to win some amazing original art, with a total of two of the pieces produced on the night by the guest artists to be drawn by raffle (the specific artists whose pieces are being raffled will be advised at the event). All other pieces drawn by the guests will be auctioned at the end of the night.

Tickets are only valid for entry to the Down Under Drink & Draw evening event and do not include entry on Saturday or Sunday to the showgrounds.

Any dietary requirements can be emailed through to with your booking reference number after purchase.

Dress is smart casual.

The location of the Down Under Drink & Draw is in Melbourne City. The address will be provided to ticket holders via email in the week leading up to the event.

Please note: It is inappropriate to take photographs or ask for autographs during the evening; anyone doing so will be asked to leave the event. At the end of the evening each table will get a group photo with their guest/s. This photo will be taken by the event organiser and emailed to each ticket holder the following week.

Panel rooms may be subject to both venue capacity and safety requirements and may reach maximum capacity. Some panels will require patrons to queue for entry prior to the panel commencing. Please follow the directions of the staff.

Tickets, photograph and autograph tokens purchased at the door may retail at a higher price than online presale tickets.
