About
Matthew Waterson
Matthew Waterson was born in America and grew up in Britain. As a result, he talks funny. He currently appears in X-Men ’97 as Magneto. His most recent show before X-Men was Dreamworks The Croods: Family Tree as Phil having taken over the role from Peter Dinklage. He is also seen in Guillermo Del Toro’s “Trollhunters” as the troll warrior Draal. Fortunately, he looks good in blue (or green depending on the light). He has also worked on the Marvel film “Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell” as the villain Nightmare, Gen: Lock, A Tale Dark, and Grimm, Castlevania, and Dota: Dragons Blood and the miniseries “Halo: The Fall of Reach” as Captain Wallaci. He is soon seen in Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham.
In video games, he has appeared in Doom Eternal as the Doom Slayer, “Call of Duty Black Ops 4″ as Torque”Halo Wars 2″ as Douglas-042, “Conan Exiles” as Conan the Barbarian, “Final Fantasy XV”, Horizon Forbidden West, The Last of Us Part II “Fallout 4” as Virgil, and “Star Wars Uprising”.
He has also worked on stage in New York, the US and Europe. However, on stage, he never got to be a Troll badass, the DoomSmith, or Cimmerian barbarian. So it hardly counts. He has one American parent, one British parent and spends every 4th of July committing acts of sedition against himself. Then he eats pie.
