Break out your chopsticks and get ready for a feast! Metro Comic Con, in conjunction with our wonderful partners at Events in Melbourne, is hosting a Maid Café!
Inspired by the famous Japanese maid-themed concept cafés, you can get a great meal along with a cool cosplay experience. Come along in your own costume, or just in your civvies, because the wonderful waitstaff will bring the magic!
For all the anime and manga enthusiasts out there, the Metro Comic Con Maid Café brings a taste of Japanese otaku culture to Melbourne.

How does it work?
Reserve your session time online through the Eventbrite ticket page. Each session is for 45 minutes. Reservations are free but there is a $2 per person seating fee payable by cash or card (bring gold coins if you want to pay by cash as we will not have change on the day). Online reservations are open until 10am Thursday 16th July and will reopen on each show day subject to availability.
You can place your food and beverage order at the Metro Comic Con Maid Café maître d’ station in front of the café any time after the event opens, but make sure to do so at least 30 minutes before your session time. That will make sure your order is ready as soon as possible once your session starts, so you can spend your time enjoying the full Maid Café experience. The Maid Café menu is shown below.
You can also purchase other experience upgrades at the maître d’ station, or during your session. Grab a Cheki, a signed Polaroid photo with your maid for $12; or play a game with the enchanting maids for $18 and get a free Cheki if you win. Or even become a maid; for $95, you can dress in a lovely maid costume of your choice – which is yours to take home – and learn how to cast spells with our maids.
Session bookings are also available from the maître d’ station at the event itself until sold out, but if you don’t want to miss a magical experience, make sure to book your session ahead of time
