Nicholle Tom’s first taste of acting came at the age of 12 in Jim Henson’s Mother Goose Stories before guest starring in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Almost immediately she landed her first big break playing Ryce Newton in the comedy Beethoven, receiving a Young Artist Award nomination for the role. She reprised the role in Beethoven’s 2nd, for which she received another Young Artist Award nomination, and the animated Beethoven TV show.

Her first dramatic turn was the recurring role of troubled teen Sue Scanlon on Beverly Hills, 90210, but her next major role came when she was cast as Maggie Sheffield, the elder daughter of Maxwell Sheffield (Charles Shaughnessy), on The Nanny, receiving four more Young Artist Award nominations over six seasons.

Around her work on The Nanny, Nicholle starred in Season of Change, a World War II era drama, and featured in a number of TV movies, such as What Kind of Mother Are You?, For My Daughter’s Honor and Unwed Father, while starring on stage as Daisy in an award-winnning production of Biloxi Blues, alternating the role with her sister, Heather Tom. She also played Delphi B. on the acclaimed sci-fi series Welcome to Paradox, receiving yet another Young Artist Award nomination.

Nicholle was first cast in the DC universe as Supergirl in The New Batman Adventures, returning to the role in Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League Unlimited. She also voiced Supergirl for the Justice League: Alien Invasion 3D ride at Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia as well as all seven Justice League: Battle for Metropolis rides for Six Flags in the United States and Mexico.

Many more roles followed, in films such as The Sterling Chase, Panic, Ice Angel, Rave, The Book of Ruth, In Memory of My Father, Bottoms Up and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. She also played Cassie, a reporter for Teen Scene magazine, in The Princess Diaries, opposite Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews. On stage, Nicholle starred in a production of Rumplestiltskin at the Falcon Theater and Serious Inquiries Only at the Sidewalk Studio Theater. On TV, she guest starred on shows including Burn Notice, Criminal Minds, Cold Case, The Mentalist, Without a Trace, Mental, Castle and The Wedding Bells, the latter alongside her sister, Heather Tom, while also starring as Tara Wentzel on The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman.

Nicholle then recurred the Emmy Award-winning Showtime series Masters of Sex and guest starred on the TV adaptation of About a Boy, as well as the acclaimed series Stalker, Survivor’s Remorse and Gotham. She guest starred with her sister Heather on an episode of the comedy series Hollywood Darlings, playing exaggerated versions of themselves, and also co-starred with Heather in a national tour of the Off-Broadway play Vanities.

Of late, Nicholle has continued to feature and guest star in a number of other films and TV shows, including Prisoner of Love, Good Grief and Good American Family, while competing on the seventh celebrity season of Worst Cooks in America.
