Matthew Scott Porter is a Floridian actor, voice actor, and occasional singer. He was a wide receiver on his high school football team and sang vocal percussion in an a cappella group at college.

Scott originated the role of Matthew in the Off-Broadway hit Altar Boyz, before landing his first TV role in the soap opera As the World Turn and his first film role in Music and Lyrics. More roles followed including Bobby in Prom Night, Rex Racer in the Wachowskis’ Speed Racer, Ben Wheatly in Bandslam and Randy in Nicholas Sparks’ Dear John, opposite Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried.

Scott returned to TV as Nestor in Caprica, before being cast in one of his best known roles, quarterback Jason Street in the cult drama Friday Night Lights.

A huge fan of comic books, Scott then entered the world of voice acting, starring as Scott ‘Cyclops’ Summers, firstly in Wolverine, then in X-Men, Marvel Anime and the Marvel Heroes video game. Between these roles he was cast in The Good Wife as investigator Blake Calamar, before and again performed with Channing Tatum in 10 Years, as part of an all-star cast that also included Chris Pratt, Rosario Dawson and Oscar Isaac.

Scott next starred as George Tucker in the medical dramedy Hart of Dixie, alongside Rachel Bilson, whom he also co-starred with in The To Do List, along with Aubrey Plaza and Bill Hader. He then debuted in the second season of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead as Luke, one of the main characters, before playing both Aquaman and Superboy in Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. He returned to Gotham as Dick ‘Nightwing’ Grayson in the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Knight, then teamed up with Telltale Games again as Lukas in Minecraft: Story Mode. Multiple characters followed for Robot Chicken, including Chris Evans, Giant-Man and Racer X, before he took on the role of Bucky ‘The Winter Soldier’ Barnes for Lego Marvel’s Avengers.

Scott returned to live action with recurring roles in Robert Kirkman’s Outcast, and Scorpion, before yet more voice acting parts – as Ben ‘Scarlet Spider’ Reilly in Ultimate Spider-Man, Damian ‘Robin’ Wayne in Injustice 2 and Colton “Colt” Cruise in EA Sports’ Madden NFL 18: Longshot and Madden NFL 19: Longshot Homecoming, as well as playing Peter ‘Star-Lord’ Quill for the first time in Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. He returned to the roles of Lukas in Minecraft: Story Mode – Season 2 and The Winter Soldier in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, before playing Harry Osborn in the smash hit Spider-Man and Aquaman again in Lego DC Super-Villains.

Once more Scott reprised Lukas, this time for TV in the Minecraft: Story Mode show, before playing White Wolf and Hunter in Avengers Assemble, and playing Cyclops and Star-Lord again in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, and Star-Lord in Marvel Future Revolution. He guest-starred in Why Women Kill, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, and Harley Quinn.

Around starring in the final season of Lucifer and Up Here, Scott voiced Heimdall, one of the main antagonists in God of War: Ragnarök, George Stacy in Spidey and His Amazing Friends, Barry ‘The Flash’ Allen in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Iceman and Moon Knight in Lego Marvel Avengers: Mission Demolition, as well as The Other and The Unity in Bethesda’s epic Starfield.

More recently, Scott has starred as Mayor Paul Randolph in the hit Netflix series Ginny & Georgia, as well as once more portraying Star-Lord in the blockbuster Marvel Rivals game.

Scott is also known for playing and promoting HeroClix, a tabletop miniatures game featuring Marvel and DC Comics characters, filming unboxing videos of upcoming sets for the WizKids Facebook page and hosting “HeroClix for Huntington’s”, an annual charity tournament supporting the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. Scott has even been put into the game as a ‘bystander’ token and two separate playable figures.

Musically, Scott performed and sang “Someone to Fall Back On” in Bandslam, and his original song “Pretend” was included in the soundtrack. He was a founding member of the groups 4:2:Five – now VoicePlay – and Mosaic, and performed Off Broadway with another a cappella band, Toxic Audio. He also competed in season eleven of The Masked Singer as “Gumball”, finishing in second place behind with Vanessa Hudgens.
